Socioeconomic Program

Our socio-economic program is aimed at improving the lives of women, youths and persons with disabilities through skill set training approach on Business and Start-up development, Financial Management, Innovation, and Investment.

We have socioeconomic empowerment activities such as jiko making, weaving and reusable sanitary towel making, crafts making and beading. So far we have 4 registered self-help groups for the women who are CP caregivers in Mlolongo and Mavoko. They include:

  • LUA Mlolongo CP Care Givers Women Self Help Group 1
  • LUA Mlolongo CP Care Givers Women Self Help Group 2
  • LUA Mavoko CP Care Givers Women Self Help Group 1
  • LUA Mavoko CP Care Givers Self Help Group 2

These self-help groups save and invest their monies in start-ups to support their families and local community members through the creation of employment opportunities.

Our objective is to empower women and youths to be economically independent and key contributors to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
